The Road to Glory: Missions

To unlock the ultimate Wizard Mode, “Battle for the Kingdom,” you must prove your worth across six legendary challenges. Each mission must be completed multiple times to fully light the corresponding inserts in front of the castle:

• Joust Champion – Advance by shooting the loops; light the way to Joust Madness.

• Patron of Peasants – Conquer the left ramp to rally the peasants and ignite Peasant Madness.

• Catapult Ace – Fire the catapult to hurl projectiles at the castle and trigger Catapult Madness.

• Defender of Damsels – Scale the right ramp to rescue damsels; your final shot up the tower unlocks Damsel Madness.

• Master of Trolls – Hit the targets before the castle to light the Trolls, then collect them in “Merlin’s Magic” and finish each with three headshots to unleash Troll Madness.

• Castle Crusher – The ultimate feat: completely destroy the castle itself.

Multiball Mayhem

When the action reaches a fever pitch, multiball modes elevate the chaos:

• Castle Multiball – Lock three balls in the side hole to the left of the castle gate and watch the mayhem unfold.

• Multiball Madness – Earn at least one sub-mission insert in front of “Merlin’s Magic” to launch a multiball assault. The number of balls depends on your progress:

  • Single Madness – 2 Balls

  • Two to Four Madnesses – 3 Balls

  • Five Madnesses – 4 Balls

• Barnyard Madness – Hit the castle with every catapult item available.

The Final Showdown: Battle for the Kingdom

This two-phase Wizard Mode begins when you pocket the ball in the castle, unleashing five balls onto the playfield. First, score all Battle Jackpots by hitting the madness targets. Then, in the second phase, strike the castle gate seven times and sink the final shot inside to claim the ultimate jackpot. Beware—unless you have saved “Troll Bombs,” two trolls will rise to defend the gate, making every shot a true test of skill. Conquer the final jackpot, and all remaining balls drain as Merlin proclaims you the new King of Payne. Your score carries over as a new game begins—proof that legends never truly end.
